I'm just a cheeky monkey...

Thanks for stopping by! How are you doing today? Fabulously, I hope.

I'm Heather, a student (and DELTA GAMMA!) at Union College in Schenectady, New York. I am a Political Science major, and a french and possibly geology minor. I haven't really started to think about my thesis (a senior project) yet, but I am very interested in international relations and the development of the European Union. This past fall I was on a term abroad in France. I lived with the Brecq family in Cesson-Sevigne, a small town right outside of Rennes (the capitol of Bretagne). I could go on and on about how wonderful my time was in Rennes. A term abroad is truly the experience of a lifetime. I'll see if I have enough disk space left to discuss all of that.

When I am not at school, I live in Baltimore, Maryland. I say "Y'all" a lot, even though I am not really a southern belle. Close, but not quite.

I love horseback riding, hiking, backpacking, going out with my friends, and working as an intern for New York State Assemblyman Paul Tonko, one of the nicest men to work for. He truly believes in the causes he works for, and is a fantastic person. I can't say enough good things about him! He represents the 105th district-- Montgomery County and part of Schenectady County.

I wish I were going on vacation....
At the moment, it is the end of winter term at Union. Union is on a trimester schedule, so I have another term after this one. I am looking forward to my spring break, but, sadly, I am not going to Daytona Beach or Hawaii or anywhere neat like that. I will probably go home and help my parents paint their house.

The Delta Gamma formal is this weekend. I'm really looking forward to it. I think I am going to have the BEST time, although that's what I say every year. :)

Not too much else is going on in my life. I really hate to go outoors to do anythig but walk to class and ride my horse because of the frigid Upstate New York temperatures.
